R&M Motors Enters Next Phase of Business
The first day of January, 2011 was more than just the first day of another new year for R&M Motors. It was the first day of a new business direction for them as well, it was a day that R&M Motors went way back to its’ roots. R&M Motors was established in 1967 by Richard and Karen Moriarty. R&M started out by selling pre-owned farm equipment and provided service and repair work for local farmers as well as dump truck and milk truck drivers. Over the years, R&M had expanded to sell new farm equipment in a new location north of Berlin on Highway 49. Some of the new brands R&M represented in later years were Massey Ferguson, Mustang, Great Plains, Meyers, J&M, Honda, Yamaha, Ferris and Simplicity. Since the very beginning, R&M has always continued to sell pre-owned farm equipment. But on January 1, 2011, R&M Motors had went back to its’ roots, back to where R&M got its’ start… selling only pre-owned farm and construction equipment. In late 2010, R&M had notified their customers and manufactures that they would be terminating all contracts for selling and servicing new equipment. From that point on, R&M Motors no longer would sell or service any new equipment rather R&M’s entire focus would be on providing the area with only quality pre-owned equipment.
